One of our main aims at Bishop’s Waltham Community Swimming is to open the swimming pool to the local community. Allow us to introduce our public swimming sessions!
Our 20 metre, four lane, swimming pool is a fantastic place to have fun with your family, to get fit, or socialise with friends!
The water is warm, which is great for younger children, our older members, and also for those recovering from injury. We also have a hoist on site to allow really easy access into the water and ramp access up to the pool building.
All public swim sessions have a lifeguard (or lifeguards) on duty to allow peace of mind.
We have ample parking on the school site after school hours, although we ask that you do not park on the staff parking area until after 5:30pm, unless you have a disabled person’s badge.
We have one slow lane, known locally as the “chatting” lane, for those looking for a social swim or a more relaxed pace! Plus we have one Medium / Fast lane, for those looking to pick up the pace and push themselves.
Children are welcome to join our lane swim sessions, however they are require to swim lengths. And we do ask that you put them in the correct lane, according to their pace (not yours!).
We have the floats, rubber rings, toys and sinkable sticks out for some fun
And welcome children of all ages to these more relaxed and fun sessions
We offer Pay as You Go Swimming...
And also offer some fantastic memberships, with some great savings for regular swimmers
Please find our membership form here, listing all of the details and costs [Membership form]
We welcome groups to use our fun swimming session, 6-7pm on Thursday evenings
Please note that these do need to be booked in with us, to ensure no clashes of dates, etc.
It also means we can manage the lifeguard ratios, and have extra staff on site for you if required
Discounts are available. Please get in touch for more details!
Our swimming times, from September 2017, will be as follows:
